Mr. Espinoza has extensive experience in collective bargaining processes and in the prevention and settlement of labor union conflicts. He has also vast knowledge and experience in work subcontracting, particularly in the establishment and development of the principal - subcontractor legal relationship; the negotiation of service provision and construction contracts; and the implementation of industrial safety and hygiene regulations. He has substantial experience in the court defense of lawsuits filed against employers demanding compensation for occupational injuries.
Before joining Alessandri & Compañía, Francisco was of counsel to a consulting firm in Labor Law and Court Defense Litigation. From 1987 to 2007 he worked as a lawyer at the Legal Department of the Instituto de Seguridad del Trabajo (Labor Safety Institute), in the Metropolitan Area Management Office, Headquarters - Viña del Mar.
Mr. Espinoza has been a lecturer in courses such as, Occupational Injuries Law and its regulations, aimed at companies, employees, joint labor safety committees and work safety departments; Work Subcontracting Law, particularly on implementing the new labor safety norms; and civil and criminal liability derived from occupational injuries.
