Francesca Rodríguez has specialized in Intellectual Property counseling. She joined Alessandri & Company in 2010, working in the patents area, utility models, industrial designs and sanitary registration.

In 2009 she graduated from the Intellectual Property Postgraduate Course of the University of Los Andes, in Venezuela (Magna Cum Laude) and received a distinction for her thesis titled: "Pharmaceutical Patents: Legislative proposal on pharmaceutical inventions for the reform of the Industrial Property Law of Venezuela". Also in 2009, she graduated from the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität of Heidelberg and the University of Chile Master in International Law (LL.M. int) -Investments, Trade and Arbitration- with her thesis named: "Second Use Patents: Protecting real inventions or discoveries?".

During 2010, Ms. Rodríguez attended the "New Technologies and Intellectual Property Rights" Diploma at the Universidad de Chile.

Before joining Alessandri & Compañía, she worked as an associate attorney at Maiónica, Rossini, Jelambi & Ribeiro, in Caracas, Venezuela, and between 2005 and 2007, Ms. Rodríguez worked as assistant professor in Intellectual Property Rights at the University of Los Andes (Venezuela).
